Keep a Child Alive Black Ball is New York’s most highly anticipated fall gala. Hosted by KCA Co-Founder Alicia Keys, the Black Ball is an event where celebrity and philanthropy walk hand in hand, fulfilling hopes, dreams and raising funds for children and families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. The event begins with an intimate cocktail party, followed by a live auction with world-renowned Christie’s auctioneers, a spectacular seated dinner and one of a kind performances by Alicia Keys alongside extraordinary artists. Alicia Keys will present the evening’s programme, highlighted by performances from the world’s top recording artists. Throughout the years, Alicia has shared the Black Ball stage with Bono, Annie Lennox, David Bowie, Youssou N’Dour, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, Kathleen Battle, Usher and more to create some of music histories most magical moments. Keep a Child Alive is dedicated to providing lifesaving treatment, care and support services to children and families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Keep a Child Alive is currently funding 8 clinical and orphan care sites in 5 countries: India, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa and Uganda. Since 2003, Keep a Child Alive has funded 11 additional projects in Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, South Africa and Zimbabwe. With KCA funding, these projects have been successfully scaled to new levels of service and self-sustainability within their communities.
