Get cheaper HIV drugs

If you've got HIV, you need a combination of drugs to keep the virus levels low enough for you to live a normal life. The companies that make these drugs patent them which means no other company can make the same drug for 20 years. Without any competition, they can charge highly inflated prices to make the most profit possible. This makes the drugs out of reach of the people who live in the places where HIV is most prevalent - developing countries.

Watch HIV - The Musical, the Ctrl.Alt.Shift short film starring Martin Freeman (The Office) and Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh), to see why HIV is such an important issue.

The Stop AIDS Campaign is pushing for pharmeceutical companies to stop patenting their drugs and let generic versions be made so people in the developing world who need them the most can afford them. Join the campaign and support the HIV Patent Pool.

The fact that 30 countries do

The fact that 30 countries do not stand back from deporting PLWHA or asking them to leave the country if HIV and AIDS are found in them is frightening. We fight for the basic right of traveling freely. These barriers are discriminatory and perpetuate and reinforce the stigma already faced by people living with HIV.
